Christ Appears in the Kirkland Temple: Religious art by Christian artist Walter Rane. On April 3, 1836, Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the Kirtland Temple. Doctrine and Covenants 110 gives an account of the vision they received, and the description of Christ in that account is portrayed visually in this painting.
